What do I need to bring to hire gear? You will need two things:

  1. A valid photo ID (like a Driver's License or Passport).
  2. A physical credit card in your name for payment and the security deposit.

Where do I pick up and drop off the gear? All hires are picked up and dropped off at our store: Rip Curl Ulladulla, 138 Princes Highway, Ulladulla NSW 2539.

What are your opening hours?

  • Weekdays: 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • Saturdays: 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • Sundays & Public Holidays: 10:00am - 4:00pm

How does the 24-hour hire work? Our full-day hire is for a true 24 hours. This means if you pick up a board at 3:00 PM today, it's due back by 3:00 PM tomorrow. This gives you the flexibility to catch the best waves, whether it's an evening or sunrise session.

How much is the security deposit? We take a security deposit for all rentals in the form of a pre-authorization hold on your credit card. The amounts are:

  • Hardboards & SUPs: $250
  • Softboards: $100
  • Bodyboards & Wetsuits: $50

What happens if I damage the equipment? You are responsible for the equipment for the entire hire period. If an item is damaged, lost, or stolen, we will use your security deposit to cover the repair or replacement costs as per the fee schedule on your invoice.

Do you offer multi-day discounts? Yes! We have awesome deals for 3, 5, and 7-day hires. The longer you rent, the more you save. Please ask our staff for the multi-day rates when you book.

Do I have to book online? Booking online is recommended, especially during school holidays, as it guarantees your gear will be available. However, we always welcome walk-in customers.
